It would help if you would provide further information, material, size, where obtained, also photos of the underside, any marks.

      Rotunda form.
      Salome within?
      Is it a lamp?

its an architectural model form of a classical temple, most were made of bronze and with a stepped marble base. This one is made of spelter and not sure if it is copper or copper plate spelter (hard to tell from photo.) Usually these were not made into lamps, I have a pair of upscale ones in gilt bronze and marble. In pairs they make a great decoration for firplaces.

This is a representation of the Roman Temple of Vesta and the girl is a vestal or a priestess of the goddess Vesta. A nice piece.

I don't think vestal or priestess of Vesta. They controlled the sacred fire which there is no fire or hearth here, and usually always in groups of 3 they appear.

bladerunner22, maybe a not very accurate representation, with all the proper symbols on it, but a stylized one? Can't think of anything else about a building with this shape and a nude girl inside it. Take a look at this one:

Also, there are roman coins that depict the temple of Vesta with the goddess standing inside of it like in this one: http://www.romanreligion.org/content/wp-content/uploads/VestaTemple_coinreverse.jpg

Is that a switch or push-pull button of some sort on the base? What does it turn on/off?
    9. quinn51, 9 years ago

mcheconi thanks for your time this piece some one transformed into a lamp, i dont know much on antiques, it was just my night light on my dresser

quinn51, it's a pleasure to be able to help. I would like to add another piece of info: the female figurine in your piece is wearing a veil on her head and this also matches the representations of Vesta and her priestesses as you can check here:
