I was pleased to find this, only my fifth piece of green Tango Glass.
Comparing it with the other two you see it seems to be the only one with a 'black' glass knob. The surface of the other two knobs appears to be plastic or paint. On the orange lid the knob is hollow and you can see the orange glass inside it. The red lid is not hollow so what is under the black paint or plastic on that one I know not!
All appear to be made of two layers....colour and clear casing.
Height 11.5cm./4.5 inches Diameter 10.5 cm./4 inches
Thank you for the loves, Efesgirl, nutsabotas, vetraio, valentino, aura, Justanovice, and racer4four.
Are you sure the plastic isn't enamelled glass?
well done you, it's gorgeous...I want it :)
Hi Ian Image three may be misleading as the knobs are matt. The covering is probably too thin and dull to be enamel but paint is a possibility, even a probability considering the period.
Thank you for causing me to give the matter some thought :)
Thank you so much, AnneLanders.....but it wouldn't look good next to your blue one :)
