    Hi All

Well not my usual cup of tea but it is rather spectacular! Huge Murano glass sculpture of a bird in flight. The reason I know it is Murano is because there is another on the internet with an original sticker attached. It's very large at 38cm high and heavy, and the glass has a yellow tinge to it. There are etched initials on the base saying BR 83.

Does any one have any clue as to who BR may be?

Thanks for your help, as always.

I can't help you with the identity of BR but these pieces were supposedly limited editions produced by the Franklin Mint in the 1980's. I was going to add some of the links to show you but some of the sites seemed a little dodgy when I tried to load them. It may be safer to let you pull up some options with your own search. Hope this helps! Brett

Hey Hamish... I have this pair with the same marking but unfortunately haven't been able to I.D. them either.

Thanks for the information Brett, I would never have guessed that if you hadn't told me!

And Rick, this BR is rather elusive! I like the fish, very stylish.

Thank you Hamish... I like both pieces, yours and mine, I just wish I could find something about the maker... Oh well. Maybe one of us will stumble across something.
