Hi, A good friend of mine ran across this while cleaning out a home he's working on. He knows I like unique things and gave it to me. It was in horrible condition when he gave it to me. I like to keep old things original when possible. This was impossible to keep that way. It was so dirty and green. I've tried researching it. The large bottles are marked YUNUS on the bottoms. I found out that in Arabic and Turkish it means Jonah. I'm not sure why that would be on the bottom of bottles. There are 7 large and 4 smaller bottles with brass cups? for lids. It has two brass hoops that maybe a strap went through to carry it. It weighs about 15 pounds. It's 22" long and 11" tall. If anyone has knowledge about this I would really appreciate you sharing it with me. Thank You for your time.

I lived in Turkey and have seen these before - it is a shoeshine kit. The brass piece in the middle is where the patron rests his shoe. The bottles hold all the liquids used to clean the shoes. This is an outstanding find!!!

Thanks, I would have never guessed a shoe shine kit. I thought perhaps some sort of beverage tray. You guys are awesome. Does anyone know how to tell the age of it?
