I bought the brooch from England, I wonder if this crest or emblem is known by some of you.
I searched arm/fist holding oak branch with acorn. ... NOTHING !
It is a reverse painted crystal intaglio, also known as Essex crystal (but it is a wrong name).
Mounted in gold brooch.
Little time consuming repair: a round glass at back, held in place in a second frame with brooch fitting by tiny gold pegs, was broken and dirt took place between it and back of crystal.
I struggled to remove the pegs, took off the frame for cleaning and put a piece of nacreous plastic as background.
The brooch is tiny : 7/8" diameter.

You did a spectacular job repairing this! It looks perfect... the acorn looks like a rose to me but the leaves don't match with a rose. That's just what it looks like from here.

Hi Kyra, there is a format for describing heraldry and crests, I don't know exactly how it works but yours might something like: A dexter hand and arm in armour, the hand holding a branch of oak. (dexter = right)

I would say Katherine has nailed it. Based on the information on that page this piece may have been made for Joseph R. I. NASH of Somerleyton who died in 1922.
