Hello!
We bought our house a few years ago and it came with this lampshade. My husband wishes to get rid of it but I would like to know more about it first if possible. It's such a unique piece that people always comment on whenever they come over. However, having low ceilings, a tall husband and a low hanging lampshade isn't the best mix!
The house is a 1950's house and only had the one owner before us. Most of the fixtures here are original and haven't been replaced over the years so I assume the same goes for this.
I can't find any markings on it to identify it with. The glass has a couple of cracks and almost feels plastic, but when I tap it you can hear that it's glass.
I read somewhere that you should try and clean it with acetone to see if any colour leaks from it. I did that and it was completely clean. No colour leakage at all.
The lampshades measurements are 23" wide, 36" tall and 54' circumference (at it's widest point).
If anyone has any insight or has any questions, please let me know!

look inside the bottom rim opening for a tiny metal label soldered inline with the glass; some makers do add their name on these Tiffany style lamps and shades. The detailing shown appears fairly modern (within last 20 years) to me.
I would say around the year 2000-4 or so but looks fairly well made.
