Hi, I don't know much about it but I do know the bowl is the scene from Tam O' Shanter and The Witches. It's based on a poem from the 1700's where a man stays too long at a tavern and encounters witches on his way home. One side is the tavern scene and the other side is him fleeing on his horse with a witch flying behind him holding onto his horses tail. He's trying to get across the bridge because he knows witches won't cross water. I had a pitcher and bowl set and the handle of the bowl was the horses tail grasped in a very creepy hand!
