very nice colours
Your little boxes are in the shape of a 'macaron'. A macaron is a French high end biscuit/bonbon. It comes in many flavours hence the variety of colours for the boxes. The chocolatier, Rannou Métivier, specialised in macarons as well as chocolate. The business was started in 1920, in the same region as Limoges, where
macarons are a special treat.
Understandably ceramic macarons didn't sell well in your part of the world!
I agree probably bonboniere. Cool.
geez! thanks aura, sklo42, nutsabotas6, and Lisa! to tell you the truth, i thought they were kind of ugly, but strange enough to buy anyway! besides, i do like little boxes and bonbonieres.
I can't get over why these ended up in the garbage. At lease donate to SA or GW or Value Village. I like all the colours except the pink. The box looks brand new. Sad.
i see all kinds of things in the garbage which surprise me. last week, i saw some beautiful, old Deruta pottery w/ all the gargoyles etc. in the garbage. someone else was able to salvage them.
