So today was my birthday and I am celebrating my first controlled bubble...anything. WooHoo! Even though there are many of these on the internet I don't really care who made it at this point.
Now I have to put all this glass "somewhere" for carpet cleaning and my daughter coming home. She will probably think I have lost my mind and call in a 5150. LOL
This pic of me was before the Labino find. And just 2 of 3 tables full of ah...finds. So take my word that I love all your finds and everyone here!!

It is a bubble paperweight, unfortunately or fortunately depends on how you like it. It is not a controlled bubble. That was brought forth by Pairpoint in the 20th century and the bubbles are controlled in straight lines and look to be precison controlled. Also on yours there appears to be a crack or line inside which may have resulted in someone washing it in hot water. Hot water usually causes an internal crack so they should only be washed in lukewarm water.

OMG blade. I hope I had my clothes on. Just kidding (not really). Thank you though. I didn't see it and I won't tell anybody if you don't. BTY...FYI I don't sell anything....Maybe one day. I usually put it in the out box or give it to someone who likes it since I'm new. Thank you for the information because it is ALWAYS very helpful.

I don't think you need to worry about a 5150 call. After all, it's early days yet. : ) In fact, the interventions won't begin until the first time you try to tell someone you don't have too much glass - you just have too few tables!

Thanks so much for the loves and kind words. Had a wonderful time on my daughters arrival and she let me drag her through the antique shops without complaining. (too much). No 5150!!...yet:) I finally saw a real controlled bubble but that's going to take some work and I saw a millefiori Milano, and some really amazing pieces. Thanks to everyone for helping me understand what I'm looking at and what to look for. Even found a Labino. :)
