Small spaces call for big ideas. Short time storage. So much easier than wrapping and boxing and taking up space for carpet cleaning. :)

Everything came out just like it went in. LOL~~ I would absolutely do this again.

Thanks for the Loves: otv, Rick, Sean, Mike, jscott, fort and Katherine. And Inky, if someone breaks in and turns on the dishwasher I pray they mop and dust and do windows while they're at it. :)

What a fab idea, the burglar would never think to check in there!

When I saw this photo I almost got a heart attack! Please tell me you didn't turn it on! I put once some crystal in the dishwasher. Big mistake. Some pieces got chipped because they hit against each other.

Looks like someone needs more space or less stuff. :P

      freiheit, Thomas and Spirit, LOL
I hate washing dishes by hand. ;) The ones I eat off of anyway. (and only Cascade for those).
I love hand washing the "special" pieces and getting to know them better. :0)
SpiritBear, I was in the last of downsizing when I got the "addiction". But you really have to give props for this idea. :) And I'm trying to be more selective thanks to all the folks here at CW! I did get a curio.....for $30.00. I'll post pics when I get it figured out. Thanks again everybody.

Non-painted glass without bubbles should survive in the dishwasher, BTW. I've experimented with non-valuable old bottles a few years ago when trying to find ways to get the annoying white staining out of dug bottles.
I've tried everything from that to straight-up Sulphuric Acid. I learned about acid and water not liking each other that way when one bottle exploded after I set it down cuz it was getting quite hot. Whoops!
