I picked this piece up from the Goodwill just up the street from Salvation Army. Sitting among the plain clear glass vases it really looked out of place. The blue pulled feather design is done over a clear iridescent body. While it's more than likely contemporary it still quite pretty. It's has a smooth cut and polished rim and the bottom has two odd raised marks , but nothing I could ID. In a dimly lit room the feather design disappears and all the clear glass turns to a solid rainbow iridescent finish. This is probably as close as I'll ever get to all the Bohemian beauty I see here on CW. -Mike-

Oh please! I'll take you to the market where I bought that gold ring *wink wink*

Yes those sure were some enviable finds. I really don't find much gold here except for an odd broken chain every now and then. Those I take to the jewelers and sell them for scrap prices. Although in general I think I do pretty well. A few of us here on CW were joking about shopping together a while back. We'd probably kill each other fighting over who got what.

Ya think? LMAO!!! I find scrap gold every now and then. I bought a few pieces of jewelry last week from a local shop that deals in second hand and new items. I know the owner. I picked out a ring mount from a bunch of junk that looked to be gold. She told me it wasn't gold, but some sort of gold blend. So, I got it for $5.00. I took it to my friend who owns the local pawn shop, and she tested it - was 14K. My $5.00 turned in $15.00. as it weighed 1 gram. LOL...I really mean Bah hahahaha!

Some people here just have the touch - you all need to form a special society and huddle together comparing notes you can then pass on to the rest of us!!
I agree this is probs contemporary Mike but who cares! Beauty is beauty.

Thanks Sklo :) you're right.....a few pieces... but not cabinets full like Alfredo, Moon, and Loetz Buddies ... I tend to forget what I have as a lot isn't in plain sight. My prize is the little Kralik tapered vase I found at Goodwill for .99 cents. :)

Thanks Karen :)..we would make an incredible team if we all just didn't live so far away from each other. We'd "hoover" up everything in sight...lol. It would be such fun !

@mike, all the money we spend on glass and Artwork, jewelry, etc...
we just save it for few's week or month, and later organize a trip somewhere all togethers shopping some thrift stores, at one time we go to Alfredo area, at one time to kevin and so on,,,,,this could be very interesting trip.
WE SHOULD ASK A SUBVENTION FROM THE GOVERNMENT FOR RECOVER TREASURE, LOL
Agree with Karen, Beauty is Beauty, and this one is lovely.
