    Can any glassaholic help me identify this vase which is in the colour of Isle of Wight aurene, blue at the bottom shading to yellow and almost clear at the irregular rim.
    It stands 7.5 inches tall, 6.5 inches wide and 4.5 inches deep . I can't make out the signature but it is dated 1975 and there is an etched code SA/70. The pontil is rough and the piece weighs 1.85K

      Thanks for the info. Efesgirl. I have researched Sam Herman and he worked in my home town (Edinburgh) for a while around the time this was made.

      Samuel J Herman . Made when he was at the Jam Factory , Adelaide , South Australia , from around 1974 to 1978 . The SA stands for South Australia and piece No 70 made in 1975 . believe that Silver Chloride was used to make the pattern around the sides of the glass .
