I know that this is a Welz vase as this décor appears on a Welz hexagonal vase on the kralik-glass web site. Any doubt being removed by them both having a highly glossy black inner layer. The outer clear casing is very smooth and very glossy.
By chance I placed it next to a Welz rose bowl and noticed that the colours of the vase also appear in the spatter of the rose bowl. Image 4 shows the bases of the two together.
I've added a link to the rose bowl.

I posted a similar vase 3 months ago....like your current post, my vase is a little guy with excellent detail and craftsmanship. Since that post, I acquired a bigger vase, 7.5" tall, with the same colors and décor. I find it interesting that so much is categorized as splatter glass..........yet techniques and appearance have little in common.
Welz seem to have a paricular palette I think Peggy.
Is the acid green and dark red that colour because they are on black glass?
I really like them in combination, very modern.
Hi cornhusker, spatter glass refers only to the use of 'confetti' i.e. coloured glass granules, in a décor, no matter how the maker uses it in a particular design.
I love your glass and it would be good to see more posts of individual pieces from you.
Hi Karen. The base colour of the adjacent rose bowl is translucent cobalt yet the colours look the same. I have no technical knowledge....just an observation. The black showing through, the limited colours and the clean lines are probably what give it it's modern look imho. I'd thought the same :)
More posts will be coming..........I have been working out of town for the last 12 months. I am going make a file of all my pieces, what I know about them....etc. I will be back working in commuting distance after the first of the year.
Hi cornhusker, something to look forward to :)
Stunning Pieces, both !!!!
