My parents magazine holder

This is a Queen City walnut magazine holder. My parents were married in 1933 and I figure this may have been an early purchase. I can always remember this piece of furniture. I was born in 1940. Today was the first time I looked on the bottom of the holder. I had always thought my grandfather had made it since he was a skilled carpenter and built many buildings in the Menominee Falls, WI area.
