Another of my clown decanters. This one is about 13" tall.

This one has the right side of a sticker left on the bottom. I can't make out many words except "genuine" and "hand blown". It appears to be a crown outline.

I would think this is a Murano clown from the clown series of the 70's, but then again, I am no glass expert (although I've had two of these guys)

you can check the Murano glass site and also this link. At the top there is a link on that page where you can find glass signatures and marks. Good luck.

this would be your label on it. I have had a couple of things with that label on it. Not sure -- But may be an IMPORT label from Japan. Here are pics of the Crown LABEL I had on 2 different items

This label HAS been seen on both Glass and on Ceramics items. So I assume NOT a Maker's label -- But rather an Import Label from Japan. The items I have are glass items. One surely is not Murano....and the other is COPIED to look Murano but I do not believe it is. So saying that -- I would have to say your Clown is an Import piece done *in the style* of Murano, but I do not think it is Murano.

Also the bottom is a mat ground texture, which also would point to Japanese Glass, IMO.

@antiquerose - I figured it might be some generic label. I know I've seen it on other glass pieces. I have yet to find any source that identifies it. Usually I see items with this label listed as "murano style" as you pointed out.

I found this guy the other day - evidently made in Mexico:
