LOOKING FOR ANY INFORMATION about this blind/shade.
It is in prefect working order and the cord is in very good condition.
I want to know it's age and where it might of been used.
I been unable to find an online description about this type of thing.
Let me describe it. 36"wide x 69"tall
Top and bottom has a hard wood rail. The top rail has the hardware for the cord to run through. There are 2 eyes to hang this, they are part of the hardware. The cord runs under the bottom rail and when pulled rolls the blind up.
The picture on this seems to show a street with store fronts and other signs. BEER, NONE STOP LIFE SHOW, SHIPS, HENE - WEST.
The material that has the print on is sort of fiberous and soft, sort a cross between cloth and felt. On the back side there are long round thin strips that go across every 2". The wooden rails have a groove down the center where the cloth material has been fixed.
I can not find any markings on this.
You can see there is a small amount of water stain. You can see it in the pic with THE NIGHT IS STILL YOUNG, was this advertising theme?
I wonder if this was used in diner of some sort and there might of been more others that match up with the sceen if they were side by side.
I found this about 20 years ago and have kept it stored in a safe place rolled up. I was worried it would fade if left out.
Anyone know where I can research this? or what it is called so I can search for it by name?
You can send info to this email, rainbow@nbnet.nb.ca
Thank you !
I thought someone would been able to tell me a little more about this.
Does anyone know where I could research something like this?
Thanks
Dan
