    I haven't been able to find any info about these guys. They are about 7in tall and were labeled mid century Japan.

      There's always the possibility that these are simply kitschy items from the 1950s/1960s and there is no real record of them anywhere. I have never seen owls made from veggies, myself! They are cute.
