Years ago flea market buy, bargain at 5 Francs ($1!)
Eight antique (think around 1800'...) tokens.
Wafer thin wood, hand painted on both face with very naturalistic insects.
Diameter: 1.5/16" or 3.4 centimeters.
So, 16 bzz bzz or crawlers in total!
I even not tried to identify the species, eeek ;-)

Hi friends! They would have to be framed between two glasses to be seen from two sides, they are still in my drawers...
I saw once 18th century buttons with insects, it was a naturalistic rage then.
