This beautiful handmade temple was bizarrely left on my doorstep! I have a neighbour who does house clearances and he knows I like quirky, different stuff so I'm guessing it was him.
I've no idea of the history behind it, it does seem very old, the wood frame looks like oak and the glass is thick and heavy.
It was probably made for tourism.
I like it because of the workmanship that's gone into it, it looks like tiny pieces of balsa wood hand glued together.
I like it, have no idea what to do with it but would love to know more of it's history if anyone can help?
Hi
Just wondering if you still have this item and if you found out anything else about it? Also if you had an plans on selling it.
Thanks
sunmits, CW was not a buy sell site, it's against the first rule here.
It's a friendly web site for collectors only, no request for pricing or appraisal either.
Regards
Alan
Hi, I haven't had any luck finding out any more about it. I am going to list it on eBay over the weekend as I'm redecorating. I'll list it as Indian temple model.
@Noodledoo if you do not want to deal with eBay I would be more than happy to work with you as I collect similar items of indian interest. sunmits at gmail dot com
Sure, have emailed you.
