I was really pleased to find these at Salvation this morning. Both are done on heavy textured art paper in what appears to be black ink or watercolor with touches of charcoal and pencil. There's even a splash of white near the cellist's bow. I can't say much about the frames. They're ready made store bought with the staples you bend back in order to put the pictures in. The one with the violinist and cellist has had the signature side trimmed to make it fit the frame. So it's missing part of the first name. This could effect the value if it has any and it's the one I like the best too. Luckily the cafe scene has the complete name which I'm still trying to figure out. Like so many art works signatures are almost impossible to read. -Mike-
That was fast Nicefice.... thanks for the first "love it" :)
the musicians seems to me so jewish... wonderful impresionism I looked for the name but it is didfficult to understand
Thanks Kivatinitz :)...my thoughts exactly. The middle name looks like Henri and the last name looks like Hoyj or Haji ...it's a toughie alright. I thought the first name might be Miroslav or Mirolovic or some form of that. The name seem to be a combination of French Russian and Middle Eastern.
very nice !!happy thanksgiving!!
Thanks so much Sean :) Happy Thanksgiving to you as well !
