The stake truck was released in 1967 and used the same cab and chassis as the Cattle Truck wich had been released a year earlier. Unlike other models released at this time this one had no moving features. The cattle truck had a tailgate that moved up and down and two removable cattle. The stake truck is a Dodge which is not on the box but Dodge is embossed on the front of the truck.
The box is an E style box which was last released in 1967 and the truck first issued in 1967 putting this one solidly at 1967.
Must be like Christmas everyday at the fort. Very cool.
fortapache, I always loved the Mathcbox cars as a kid. My Mom would buy us Tootsie toys so often that we had a big box full of them. Unfortunately, my Mom ended up putting all of the Matchbox and Tootsie toys in a yard sale somewhere and they went to some very lucky buyer! Not to mention all of the Tonka toys that were sold there as well. I wish I had them all back.
Thank you very much Caperkid. It is but I keep looking for more!
Thank you very much Scott. Sadly that happened to my brother's Major Matt Mason toys. I should have bought them myself.
Thank you

Thank you very much. Boxed examples are still affordable although they aren't 59 cents anymore. I used to buy mine at a toy store in Stonewood Shopping Center, along with Sav-ons Drugs.
Thank you Trey.
