I was so lucky to have bought this, another aspect of the range of Bernard Instones talents.
This for me is a wonderful find, with the silver enamel hammered spoon and napkin ring, decorated with colourful flowered enamel, with the original leather case. The spoon and enamel ring have his facsimile signature Bernard Instone and hallmark for birmingham, the set was made in 1929.
Many thanks for looking
He was so talented. Your collection of Instone must be exceptional Jean, world class.
Gosh!!!...how beautiful are those, also love the box!...:-)
Incredible!! Right down to the leather case. Just beautiful!!
I love the vibrant enamel, the whole set in its box is a beauty, BRAVO!
Hi Karen, I don't think I have nearly enough of his work, the next piece I really want is a Silver caddy spoon he made some lovely ones. He was just in my opinion a very talented man, I really wished he would have marked his pieces, I now think I have a good eye for his work, but he still does throws up some surprises.
Hi inky and kyra I was lucky to get this and it's fantastic that it is all intact. Thanks for you great comments, much appreciated.

BEAUTIFUL!!!
Was this for traveling ?
Sorry didn't, read the" christening. "What is the spoon and napkin rings significance ? Is it for a particular religion ?
No, in the UK, when you were baptised, you would get a bible, silver spoons, napkin holder, money box, etc. It was usually given by the God parents.
OK thanks for the info:)
