I found her lying in a box, next to a table at a flea market, more than 15 years ago. She was too pretty to ignore, so I paid my 1 Guilder (Gulden), which amounts to milk money, and took her home. The workmanship that went into this doll is superb, right down to her flower bouquet and the folded handkerchief in her apron pocket. I have no idea how old she is and , for all my searching, did not find one on the web with the quality of this one. She lives in my 1950s/1960s room.

She looks factory made or cottage industry . Faces look to be European made and more of a contemporary doll . Very nice !
She is European. I bought her here in the Netherlands. I have never seen another or found another on the net. Face is hand painted. Some of the needlework is done by hand and some by machine.
She might have been in a kit as heads and faces are not free hand painted they are factory printed or made by professional.. So heads maybe pre made and doll clothes ect may well have been a kit with faces already made or it is a cottage industry made doll then and or bought heads from a company Very nice
Manikin - I'm sure she's contemporary, I just don't know how contemporary, lol! I have had her since the 90s, so longer than the 15 years I put here. More like 20-22 years.
Well, whatever she is, she's a beauty. I wish I could find another for comparision, but all my searches have turned up a big fat zero. Many topsy turvy dolls online, but not like her.
I would say from 1960's to ? forward .
Oh it's been a while since I saw a doll like this, Avon sold one back in the 80s or 90s as I recall. Very interesting, Bonnie! :)
katherine - I just looked and found an Avon doll. Not even close to being the beauty that my doll is.... :D :D :D
