    i dont know much about this item i inhert it from my mother i want to know how to tell if this is a real crystal around the clock or its just a glass
    i attached the box pic and manual all written there is seiko quartz with alarm 6-s841-5 printed in japan
    we bought it 20 yrs before

    any one can tell ist really crystal around the clock and how do i know for sure

      Not sure -- but any Seiko I ever saw with Glass decor on it -- It was CRYSTAL

      but i cant see colors through the crystal as some said im not sure im right or not and of course i cant hear the sound of the crystal as its filled with the clock inside \

      Yes, this is absolutely lead crystal. That is 24% crystal. You can't see colors unless you hold it in just the right position in natural light.
