I just picked up this awesome 1947 Coca Cola bottle machine and I need to know more about it, such as replacement or insurance value and actual value I guess. I picked it up pretty cheap because it will look great in my Man Cave but I know nothing about it. I know that it works and the guy I bought it from said it needs a new drum. Other than that I am lost. Any help would be great. Thanks

It looks decaled, and since it has 10 cents instead of 5, it could be from the fiftys, or at least was fixed at a later time, very cool machine though.

Thanks for all the info. I have it in storage right now until I figure out what it's worth and what to do with it. I will check for more details, such as decals, tomorrow. Do you think it would be beneficial to restore it with a fresh coat of Coke red paint or leave as is? What is this thing even worth. I picked it up for a couple hundred Benjamins.

I think you should leave it as is for value as a vintage coke item, but if you want it to have value as a machine to look pretty, you should get it restored it by a professional. If it was mine, I'd just leave it as is.

I have one of these. Yours looks like a Jacobs 26 built between 1946-1952. At least thats what I was told when I bought mine in 1989 for $725.00. Mine works great and is not restored. Yours looks good enough to just leave alone. You were told you need a drum. That could be a problem. I haven't checked in a long time but I'm told they don't reproduce the drum for the Jacobs. Now if you just want to use it to cool some brews and look cool you can use it for that in your man cave. As for value as a coke machine that needs a drum and who knows what else to work properly, you paid about what its worth. Now, I want to emphasize that its just my opinion and if you check out the inf that SSmoothie gave you it might prove me way wrong. I hope so. Anyway, its a cool machine. Dave

Anyone know a professional restorer for these machines in the Seattle area?
