    an old painting on a piece of glass i think. one of my relatives. not sure who. no info came with this. just a picture at the bottom of a drawer.
    not realy a photo. its a painting.

      Portraits painted on glass have been around hundreds of years but there was a bit of a revival in the US around 1920. A couple of companies specialised in them and perhaps this dates from then. Without any signature or mark it will be hard to date and identify.
      She is beautiful and possibly a family member, so precious!

      And in Australia too !!! This one may well be an Australian artist. Beautiful stippled work. The other thing I'm wondering about is whether it might be painted on porcelain?
