I have an Art Deco french cigarette case with multiple signatures and I was wondering if any one would have an idea to it's origin ?
There is an inscription on the inside which reads as this.
Noir assassin de la ville et de l'art tu ne tueras jamais dans ma mémoire celle qui fut mon plaisir et ma gloire

Black assassin of the city and art you will never kill in my memory that which was my pleasure and my glory

It's has "Cecile" on the top so I guess it belonged to Cecile....
Intriguing! Tons of clues here... but what do thet mean? A Swiss medal from 1923, the flag which looks like the flag of Uruguay, but with "ARC" in the corner. The dedication could also be from the best friend Florence Raymond... The numbers 5 6 11 21 19.
BTW the inscription is the last strophe from Charles Baudelaire's poem "Un Fantôme".
Maybe from Switzerland from some sport team or university?

At the bottom of the inside under the inscription, written in French, is says "This is a souvenir............." Can any one read the rest of it?
