This was passed down from my grandmother to my parents and none of us know what it is or what it does. Anyone else have any idea what this is and used for?

Think that's stretching it a bit eye4. We have good people who will probably come up with the answer. I just don't think we are it!

Its a vets tool from the days when animal husbandry wasn't that advanced. Its a blood letting tool. Just as in humans, your local barbour would bleed you so it was with animals. To let the bad blood out. Mad yes! I believe its called a fletch.

I am not into metallurgy, so I can only assume it is a light stainless steel. There are no sharp edges, all of the edges on it are blunt/flat cut. Grandma said it was a kitchen tool? I looked up fletch's, but all I could find is tools for arrows.
