I found a lot of cool things yesterday, but i think this is my favorite. Does anyone recognize the mark/signature? it looks like there are three 'L's' and one 'J' in the 4 triangles. i really love the glazes, form and feel of this pitcher!

thanks so much melaniej and antiquerose! the symbol on the bottom may not be a signature, but a personal symbol of friendship or something. the piece is definitely by an excellent potter though. very even walls and overall light weight are very good signs in this kind of piece. i've been looking alot too, w/ no luck yet.
the glaze reminds me of Josh Deweese pottery, but the handle reminds me a lot of Michael Lambert's pottery. he's closer - just over in Sta Cruz. i think i'll try to email him and see whether he recognizes it.
