I have this blanket and am not sure where it comes from. Does anybody recognize it? Thanks. I love the pattern and colours. It is very old and has had a tiny bit of restoration.

Based on the way it is woven, it is not Native American, and the thickness indicates it was probably meant as a rug, rather than a blanket or robe.

Really need to see it laying out flat, and a picture of an edge and corner in order to positively identify it. The material used and the way the textile was woven is more important in identifying the source, than the pattern or design is.

Thanks I will lay it out tomorrow and take some pictures. My Mom passed and it was at her house. She was from Sardegna Italy so I wondered if it could be from Italy but the colours do not seem right. I wish I knew.
