This is a stunninng piece of art by -Elizabeth J.Priborsky .
I've tried to find about this artist on the web but no luck as yet !!
Whoever she is she is a very good artist as you can see by the way she catches the light & darkness of this beautiful cottage scene ..
Including the frame it measures 24" x 19"..
Bought for £3.00
Does anyone recognise this artist ??

The only Elizabeth Priborsky I found died as an old woman in Canton, Ohio in 2011. She wasn't a listed artist. I think this was done by a hobby painter.

Funny enough I found that Elizabeth on line too there seems to be more Priborsky's in the USA than Europe!!
I think your right she is possibly a very good ameture painter , especially if this is one to go by !!

I love original art Surf and this is a charming watercolor :) I find that so many of the really nice art works I come across are by unknown or just locally known artists in their day. Then they just fade into obscurity. The pastel portrait I found yesterday is a perfect example. So well done and not a clue even knowing the artist's name. Most of the time you can't even read the signatures and when you can... still nothing. Great find ! :)

Yes, she was a very good artist. She lived in Shropshire then Herefordshire where she died in 2011. Good to know someone down in Devon has a painting of hers! But where did you get it at that price!!?
