Here's a photo of the great grand parents. The ring I posted belonged to him...too bad we couldn't see his ring on him! I took a close up to see her rings and although it's hard to see them, they certainly don't appear to have come from a box of cracker jacks!
I don't know what year they came to the U.S.A. but I know my grandmother, my moms mom, was born in the very early 1900's and had 5 siblings. He must have done very well for his family being a Court Translator.
I don't remember this grand father (great) but I do remember her! She didn't read a bit of English and never spoke much either. She was 98 when she passed and I think I was somewhere under 10. Now who's gonna do that math?
Here also is the best I could do with a photo of the rings hallmark. I have no idea what type of photo this actually is...obviously, zero knowledge in that category.
Enjoy
For the era they have a very humanist and benevolent look. You know most of my old family photos everyone looks absolutely pissed off and over life!
Some good genes there Share!!
Ahhhh, Karen, you are always good for a good laugh! I remember your Lurch story! It's that time of year again...are you ready??? I know, play that song for him and maybe a niece so they can dance to it, then post it for us!!!
Thanks for the loves Kevin and Mike! Greatly appreciated ;)

Thanks to all of you that loved and commented. I do appreciate it all. And yes it is pretty special to have these for those special moments. Thanks again!
Family heirlooms are priceless:)
Sweet !! Thanks for sharing something so personal !!
Thank you Trey. They are aren't they. Funny how a photo or a piece of jewelry can take you back so many years and you feel that moment again! Amazing.
Thank you Rose. I really enjoyed sharing these. When I started coming on here I thought I would never share anything personal! It's all good! We're family now anyway, right?!
@SHAREURPASSION - You bet WE are !!
Your great grand parents were such a handsome and distinguished looking couple!
My eyes were first drawn to the photograph, and I agree with Rick55 what a beautiful picture they make together. Very smart clothes too.
So I magnified it, and saw in a better light, the frame. It too is beautiful, worthy too of being an heirloom. Do have any information about it?
Wonderful photo and frame!
Take care shareurpassion and don't stress :)
