I believe this bowl started life as a covered bowl. There is an edge in the inside that could have supported a lid. Even though the lid is no longer there, I still like it. I would date the bowl to the first part of the last century. There are no marks but I think it is European, possibly French.

    Thanks for looking:)

WOW, you are good! OK, I was wrong. It's not French but German. I thought it was French because when bought it, there were a lot of items from France in the store (not a very logical conclution LOL). Too bad the top is missing.
Your help is greatly appreciated! (I will change the category)
      Thanks again!

I looked back and also see the pattern in the 1936 catalog.

That is a beautiful piece, even without the lid!

Oh wow, I just took a peek at the link from TC (who always amazes me with glass knowledge) and that lid is even more amazing than I imagined! Now I have to say too...too bad you don't have the lid. Something for sure to keep an eye out for!

You made me feel a bit better, shareurpassion. I wish I had the lid but I believe it is next to impossible to find it.
I really appreciate TallCakes help. It is really amazing to get that information:)

I adore Brockwiz glass, the quality of the sparkling material is much better than other pressed glass

Thanks, kivatinitz. I learnt for the first time about this glass from TallCakes. But I agree with you. The quality is really good. I don't usually collect glass but I really liked this piece because it was different.
