my best art glass pieces. And I have to admit I know absolutely nothing about either one.

Art glass is not my strong suit, and would welcome any and all comments, direction and coaching in regards to such beautiful objects which would only help me to understand and appreciate them more.

I'm sure TallCakes will be able to help you ID the covered bowl. Maybe move it to the first spot in your photos so he picks up on it.

I have no idea about your bird, other than it is great.

BTW: art glass is a field that never stops challenging!

the compote is a 'King's Crown' reproduction by Indiana Glass c1960s, and was made in various colors. This pattern was widely reproduced by several glass makers. The original maker was Adams & Co. c1891 and called 'Excelsior' or 'XLCR'.

Thank you both nutsabotas6 and also TallCakes ! That quite interesting. So basically you are saying that it's a re-poduction of a piece made in 1891? That's cool! It's still pretty. Thanks for your help!

If you want to more precisely identify the kings crown pattern (It's more complicated than you might think) Here is a good site http://www.kingscrownglass.com
