    (36 items)

I came across this beautiful multi-colored glass vase today at a thrift store and asked a clerk if she knew anything about this. She told me that it looked to her as a Murano style art glass vase but didn't know for sure; anyone know?

Yes, it could very well be Murano. Here's a link to one recently sold in an auction which is very similar to yours:

It is hand blown and I have seen another almost the same style and coloring along with the similar pattern. Murano......thanks everyone

I would still need a picture of the base -- as hard to tell IF true Murano or not. For example...Here are Murano *looking* Glass Vases, quality made BUT MADE IN BRAZIL.

      http://vases.novica.com/murano/

These are NOT true Murano Art Glass.................period, period. Murano Glass IS made on the Island of Murano ( not Brazil ) -- so a very play on words for those glass vases. They are Beautiful and high quality -- BUT NOT Murano.

That is why a base shot is needed. Many makers out there are making knock-off these days. ** Maybe yours is -- Maybe your isn't.** I do not know -- but a good quality picture of the BASE will help us for an ID.

      Thanks

In response to antiquerose, that's why, when I find a piece of glass which, after doing a bit of research, I do put "Murano style" when I'm not sure.
      Thank you for your time

Hi WW -- Can you post a pic of the base? Any wear on the base ? As you can post up to 4 pics with each post....and us CW people LOVE LOTS of Pics !! The more the better!!

There are many places making good quality glass these days -- hard to tell sometimes. I have been fooled too, so More pics is always the best!! It helps tell more of a story on a piece of glass.....

      ;-)
