I recently purchased this at an estate sale. I just love it. I understand this Marilyn Monroe when she still went by Norma Jean Dougherty. There's a very small sticker on the back that says Kimberly Enterprises Inc. Torrance CA. Can anyone give me some more information on it? It's in great condition and I love it but it's pretty heavy since it is made of ceramic tiles. So I haven't hung it up anywhere.
It measures 13 3/4 wide by 25 3/4 long. I would like to know what it might be worth or if there are thousands of these out there. I can't find any information on it.
this looks like a GREAT piece!
What a great piece! I have been collecting breweriana for decades and have seen this in lithograph form (poster). Very desirable item in litho. If yours is authentic and not a reproduction it could be very valuable. Kimberly appears now to be located in Gardena, CA. From what I saw they opened in 1973, indicating this could be a repro. You should call them at (310) 538-1331 and see if they can give you more info. Repro or not it is a great item to have.
Sorry - that is not Marilyn.
Marilyn's first nude was in 1947, by Earl Moran. (who was also the artist on several of the Arrow posters.)
