Your sewing machine is from 1937, dating it by the badge.

There should be a metal plate with a number on it - that is the serial number. You can look up that number to see if there is more information about your machine.
This is a Singer model 12, it will be pre-1890, and the serial number should be on the stitch length surround. If there are 2 numbers, you use the highest one to date it.
This is a hand crank singer 12 "New Family" sewing machine. The initial offer on the New Family in 1865 was 125 $ I think for the base model and up to 165 or 185 highly ornamented in walnut/rosewood/satinwood. Early machines have brass slide plates over the shuttle with patent dates. It is hard to tell more from the picture. It might be one that can be treadled as well. Bobbin winder is missing.
