    This was on my fathers wood tool box. There is no name. Shackle has a number " 5 " on it thats all. Key was homemade and works.

      That looks like a Yale lock. I'll go see if I can find mine to let you know. Yours has been around longer than mine or has had much more use. I'll see what I can do...

      Mine isn't where it usually is ??? Anyway, here's a link that shows some of them in different variations. Very cool that you have the key!!! That's what makes it worth more. From what I've seen, it's from the 1800's.

      It looks like an early warded padlock by the Eagle lock Co. of Terryville, Connecticut.

      I just found this lock with a metal detector in my dirt basement (house built in 1800). Ever get a positive id?
