The only markings are on the top of the lip, creek chub. This came to me from my father in laws estate and it was his fathers(who fished lake Erie a lot) , Grand Daddy passed away 1975 and he was 79. The body is wood and the tail looks stainless. The belly plate is only secure by the treble hook. A bait shop thought it was a Heddon or South Bend brand. I haven't been able to find any matches on the web. Can anyone help me find more information on this lure? Thanks.
Would anyone have any info on this lure, such as date of mfg. Lure name? I've looked at so many photos on the web I'm getting a little silly. Please put me out of my misery. Thanks.
Thanks Rob. The Spintail I saw on Ebay looks just like it. Their add list it as 1930 with a tail piece that they didn't have. Hardware belly plate looks identical including how it clips around rear hook eye. Very possibly a knock-off. Thanks for the help.John
