    The business end looks very well made but the other end looks like it belongs on a file. There is enough irregularity to make it look hand forged. Maple trees? Wine barrels?

      What do you suppose the handle looked like? I might like to make one (and not alter the original piece.) I am going to start looking for an old piece of hardwood.
