Just a single bauble from Salvation today. They are still suffering from Christmas overkill so the jewelry is mostly seasonal. It's a small (less than an 1") pale blue-gray oval faux moonstone pin. There is a small plaque on the back of the mounting that says "CATAMORE 1/20 12kt G.F " So I'm not quite sure if it's a real stone or just glass in a bit more upscale costume setting. Catamore was founded in 1942 by Christopher and Phyllis Catanzaro in East Providence, Rhode Island. The Catamore Jewelry Company, Inc., produced gold and costume jewelry until 1981. Their pieces are trademarked “CATAMORE” Not sure when to date this but I'm thinking maybe 60's-70's. -Mike-
Sorry can't help...but very nice!... :-)
Thanks Inky :)....I'm fairly sure someone will know like Bonnie or Kyra. We shall see.
From what I can gather, their stones are paste/faux but set in semi or precious metals. Their jewelry is beautiful.

Thanks Bonnie :)...I had seen the "trufaux" site...wow the prices ! I have a diamante bracelet like that one but it's not by Catamore.

This little pin is more along the lines of the other two links you gave me. It didn't strike me as being real or that expensive either. Nice piece though.
It is beautiful Mike!
Good work Bonnie!!
Thanks Karen :)....still on the look out for the real deal though !
You will find it if anyone does!!
Thanks, Karen! I agree, it's a beautiful brooch.
Mike - big pain in the wallet, eh? LOL
It's a pretty one, Mike, thanks for sharing. Nice help, Bonnie. :)
