My Grandma just gave me this lamp. She says it was bought in Occupied Japan during the 40's.
The 'box' is 8" wide by 7.5" tall by 3.5" thick.
The lamp itself is wood painted dark brown and mother of pearl (?) inlay. There are no markings, signatures, anything on it.
It had a silk shade but it fell apart over the years.
I'm assuming it is a generic lamp in every sense of the word, but if anyone knows otherwise, I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks.
