This typewriter is just about the scariest, angriest, spooky old typewriter I have ever seen- and that is why I love it! It is a circa 1887 Caligraph No. 2 Typewriter. This thing is so old, it looks like a whole swarm of ghosts is liable to come flying out of it! All kidding aside, I absolutely love the beautiful 1880s Victorian design of this typewriter. It is around 130 years old, technically making it among the oldest typewriters in existence- certainly the oldest one I have ever seen in person. This is one of the few Caligraph No. 2 Typewriters I have seen with composite or mineral-like key tops as opposed to metal and glass ones. I bought it some time ago a few towns over here in North Carolina. It was originally from northern Pennsylvania according to the previous owner- the typewriter was from his grandfather's estate. Thank you all for reading my article, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!

That is the quite visible and interesting typewriter. I think you said it right, spooky, angry and beautiful.

Thank you. With old things like this, I guess it comes back to the old saying, "they don't make them like they used to."
