Yellow depression glass. Etched edges. Can anyone tell me the name of this pattern? I am desperate for some more pieces to add to my collection but am having a hard time finding them.

Hi Julianna, I'm not a glass expert, but i recently had to go through the similar process of trying to identify the etch pattern on my glassware, and found this website that had numerous patterns cataloged. Maybe it will help you.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will drop by.

Thank you AnnaB! I have used that site for gifts but didn't know about the "identify my pattern" service. I submitted my pattern to see if they can help determine the name for me. Thanks for the suggestion!

the glass is Heisey #3390 Carcassone and the color is called Sahara c1929-40. Heisey had many etches used on their glass; maybe "R" will have an idea on that. This type of hand finished glass is known as 'Elegant Glass'; tho' some was made during the depression era, much Elegant Glass was made thru the 1940s.

should have a 2nd ''n" in 'Carcassonne' AND had a thought to check Lotus on the etch. "R" has this as a Lotus 'Dragon' etch #39A , but incorrectly (IMHO) lists the glass as Glastonberry-Lotus. Lotus and Glastonbury were separate companies that did glass decorations; they purchased glass or contracted with major glass makers. Considering the timeline when Heisey made this pattern (and assuming "R" is correct on the etch), the etch would have been produced by Lotus, since they didn't purchase Glastonbury until 1960.
