A few months ago, I posted photos of a lamp I inherited from my father who always called it a whale oil lamp. I shined it with silver polish and discovered a mark stamped into the metal that looks like “AA” and “7240". Any help in identifying the lamp would be appreciated, along with any suggestions for a shade for the lamp that would have been close to what it might have originally had.
