Some sign hunters luck out and find beautiful signs in original pristine condition. Others are like us and find great signs hiding beneath many coats of varied colors of old paint. This beautiful MALCO sign came from a small town outside of Las Cruces NM and was hiding out in plain sight beneath about five or six aged coats of hardened enamel paints. This was another case of "The Fun being in the Hunt, as it was all work after getting it home! It is now proudly displayed at the Lakeside Storage Museum in Provo Ut, but not without a lot of hard work. Happy hunting!
What did you use to get the old paint off without destroying the sign?
Vreugdenhil,
U just use aircraft grade paint remover as it doesn't affect porcelain.
