    Breakdown:
Sterling rings > 25 cents each
    Fossil > 50 cents

I will get a battery for the watch tomorrow. The photo doesn't do it justice.
This particular Fossil model retails for somewhere around the $100.00 mark.

It's now tomorrow, lol! Got a battery ($3.00) and the watch keeps perfect time. Normally, these sorts of watches are much too big for my wrist. Not this one!

The wavy ring is a bit different, nice and substantial, and makes for a very comfy thumb ring.
The smaller ring is a bit unusual, with a gold overlay arrow. That tiny glint in the arrowhead is a diamond. I wonder if this is one of those "Hot Diamonds" rings. Dutch sword mark for .925. Hmmm....

    Thanks for looking, CW friends.

Great finds as always Bonnie :)....You have a slight edge over me on the bargains. I usually pay a dollar or two for my watches and rings. I get bulk rates too...lol. Most of Salvation's jewelry usually retails for $2.99-$5.99. I bought a beautiful men's Wittnauer watch for a dollar the other day but the jeweler charged me $10.00 for the battery and he's a friend. I noticed the same watch sold for $125.00 on Ebay even in worn condition so I really can't complain. It just amazes me that quartz battery operated watches are worth so much even over jeweled Swiss movement watches. Guess it's all about the maker and materials and not so much how it's powered.

      Thanks, Kyra!

Mike---> Still a good buy, but why on earth do these shops charge so dang much for a simple battery?? It would be cheaper in the end to buy the tool used to remove the watch back and change the battery yourself, I think. Which model is your watch? Does it keep time? The jewelry shops here charge even more than that for a battery, so I go to the Saturday market and get one put in for $3.00. The watch and rings came from the same shop where I bought that 14K gold dolphin bracelet ($1) that I went on to sell for $70.00. The people who volunteer in this shop don't have a clue what they are selling in the way of jewelry. I have an Agon cuff band watch from the 1970s. Swiss movement. Got it for 50 cents.

Thanks Bonnie...I usually only pay between 5-6 dollars for batteries but he will inspect and clean it for me too. I think this particular watch required an odd uncommon size. It's a flat rectangular Wittnauer watch that was someones retirement gift. It's engraved on the back with a name from the LTV steel plant for 40 years of service and dated 1995. It's like this one. A bit worn in spots on the goldtone band but it runs great !

Mike, thanks for the link. A very nice watch, indeed!
