    Possibly hickory, grain, feed, flour storage???Bought at garage sale.

    Has anyone seen a piece like this? Date? Region?

      It does seem to be an old storage chest on legs, a great piece of furniture. Where are you from, there were regions where these were made ? If you are from Canada there are books written on these items.

      ~ Entry Seat for sitting on to put shoes on / storage chest for Shoe polish or stuff??

      I would venture to say you have a dough proving bench. Not an antique but certainly vintage.
