I found this interesting pottery vase sitting in the window of our local Salvation Army. It's the one I stop by maybe once a week as it's kind of run down and in an old store from the 50's 0r 60's. This vase's incised decoration is different on four sides and I think the figures are really well done. The dark blue green sets them off nicely. The fuchsia interior some how works well too. It's not very big. Roughly 6" tall with a 5" opening in the top. I thought possibly an art project but there's some serious talent going on here. ID-ing the maker is going to be tricky. The bottom appears to have some obscured glyph like symbols on the bottom but the glaze pretty much covers them over. It looks like a spiral with feathers or arrows to me. Seems I have another mystery to solve. -Mike-

looks like the inside is glazed nicely also which is good to keep the outside painting intact.
