i picked these greese guns up at different yard sale for next to nothing now the brass looking one im told is a old bike air pump can any one tell me if this is true t y

Looking at the brass one, it appears to be a suction unit for taking the oil out of the old style oil filter cans on cars, I wish I could explain it better but if you've ever seen a Chevrolet 'Blue Flame' Six with the original AC filter unit the you know what I mean... it was about 4 or 6 inches deep and held almost a half quart of oil..this was to get that old oil out....just a guess with one pic and no touchy feeley ...:-)

But I remember that my grandmother had a similiar looking one.
Viewing the tip it resembles a pump used to pump air into a clothes iron
That used gasoline to light up the burner. A pot on the back of the iron
Had a brass container. The pump nipple fit into the top of the tank.
And once pressure built up you could fire it up and control the heat with
A lever. It was blue and nickel plate.
No ….it never exploded. Coleman lantern never did either.
